J. Selye University Joins the SAP Academic Community
This year, J. Selye University reached an important milestone in the development of practice-oriented education by becoming a member of the SAP Academic Community. On May 13, 2025, the Rector of the University signed a partnership agreement, granting our students and faculty access to educational materials and certification opportunities offered by SAP, the global market leader in enterprise resource planning systems, covering the full spectrum of enterprise management.
The next step in this cooperation is the integration of educational modules developed by the SAP University Competence Center into the curricula, further strengthening the practical focus of education and enhancing students’ competitiveness in the labor market.
Representing the University, Dr. Zsuzsanna Szeiner, Head of Department, and Mgr. Klaudia Balázs, PhD student, participated in the SAP Academic Community conference for the Central and Eastern European region, held from September 22 to 24 at the SAP headquarters in Prague. The conference provided an opportunity to explore the wide range of possibilities offered by the program, learn about the experiences of universities already involved, and establish valuable professional connections with SAP representatives and university educators from across the Central and Eastern European region.

Our Department’s Participation in the International Meeting of Economics Departments
On September 18, a meeting of economics departments was held, attended by representatives of six Slovak and five Czech universities, as well as our department. The event was organized by the Department of Economics of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica on the occasion of its 35th anniversary.
The aim of the meeting was to exchange experiences related to education, student needs, and emerging challenges in higher education, as well as to establish new professional connections. It was a great honor for us to accept the invitation as the representative of the only Hungarian-language university in Slovakia.
The organizers welcomed us warmly, and the professional program provided many valuable insights and opportunities for future cooperation. Our department was represented at the event by Dr. Zsuzsanna Szeiner, Head of Department, and Mgr. Klaudia Balázs, PhD student.

Successful Doctoral Defenses at the Department of Economics and Management, J. Selye University
On August 21–22, six of our doctoral candidates successfully defended their dissertations and obtained their PhD degrees.
Among the full-time students were Rita Balla, Mgr. Kornél Krupánszki, and Mgr. Tilla Izsák, while the part-time program was represented by PhDr. Monika Bálintová, Mgr. Sylvia Molnár, and Ing. Krisztina Károlyi Gaál, who all enriched our academic community with this outstanding achievement.
We warmly congratulate our new PhD graduates on reaching this remarkable academic milestone and proudly wish them continued success in their scientific and professional careers!
